Hello World! I’m Shweta and THANK YOU for visiting my blog and trying my recipes!
I love food and also enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes. I grew up eating delicious family meals made by the amazing men and women in my life and I have enjoyed trying to recreate these foods with my own little family. My inspiration still comes from these men and women (yes, the men cook too!), the different cultures around the world, and so many fellow food bloggers! Sometimes my meals are perfect the first time I experiment and sometimes they’re an absolute fail! My world is my family (and food, obviously). My taste testers include my husband (who is also an excellent cook), and my 5 and 2-year-olds!
With a background in nutrition and public health, my hope is to show you that healthy foods don’t have to be boring. My recipes include healthy ones, some indulgent ones, and many quick and convenient ones for busy families.
Why nourishing recipes? Because chronic diseases are on the rise and they don’t have to be. Because one of the four main risk factors for chronic diseases is poor nutrition (check out this link). And last, because I care for you to be around and full of energy with your loved ones for as long as you can! With that said, I’d like for all of you to keep in mind that food moderation is key, food deprivation is NOT.
